The ineffable Michael Garfield joins the show! Michael is a paleontologist/futurist who channels his creativity into hosting two podcasts, making incredible music, and painting. As the host of Future Fossils and the Santa Fe Institute's 'Complexity Podcast', Michael spends much of his time fusing philosophy, science, and art into a synthesis of ideation that is aimed at helping people orient themselves in a rapidly changing world. In this conversation we explore how humans have been evolving with technology, what happens when innovation becomes the problem, and how we can best navigate societal collapse. It's a nourishing buffet of optimistic outlooks and critical evaluations on the very real issues that we're currently facing on the world stage.
