My Story and Intentions

Hi there! My name is Brett Kane, I’m a licensed massage therapist and meditation teacher. I’ve been in practice since 2019 and am creating an embodiment coaching program that aims to integrate the mind, body, and spirit through various bodywork modalities, meditation training, and education. I’m inspired heavily through Eastern spiritual traditions and modern sciences of movement and wellness. I’ve spent the last five years pursuing a musical life but came to the conclusion that what I really was interested in was communicating wholeness and the powerful benefits of simply being here now. This podcast is a sort of journal into my studies and a platform for me to connect with incredible people who are also on the path towards cultivating vitality in this strange time.

My Tools of Inquiry
As a massage therapist and mindfulness meditation instructor, my main lens to navigate the conversation of wellness will be centered around the subtle nuances of mind and body. I’m currently diving deep into the wisdom stream of Tibetan Buddhism as well as the philosophies of Structural Integration. What I consider my strongest ally in this conversation is an open heart and genuine curiosity in what my guests skills and practices bring to the table. I can say with conviction that I believe deeply in the work of the people that share this space with me and have taken on the title, "DJ of Personalities” in that my panoramic view of wellness will be the most powerful aspect of this show.

The Plan
My overarching goal is to spend the next five to ten years studying various modalities to help you and my clients step into deeper levels of awareness and embodiment. To do this I will be diving into the ancient practice of Yoga, Structural Integration, Thai Massage, Breathwork, and Tibetan Sound Bowls. As I am expanding my skillset, I will be creating an online community that practices together and explores what it means to be a human in this strange time. The goal is to create a grounded but thorough skillset that respects science and honors ancient tradition. I am only interested in palpable and honest practices that do not easily allow for spiritual bypassing or practitioner dependency.
